Background/IRC Summary:

The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced persons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces

Job Overview/Summary:

The Psychosocial Program Manager oversees an integrated, multi-phased psychosocial component within the IRC Health Program, Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) program and Livelihoods program that aims to improve the community’s ability to detect and address psychosocial needs of displaced persons living in the Tham Hin Temporary Shelter, Ratchaburi province and satellite operation in Ban Don Yang Temporary Shelter, Kanchanaburi province.


Major Responsibilities:

Program and Budget Management

Indirect Reporting:  Field Coordinator Internal: Health team (Community Health Worker, RCH and Clinic) Woman‘s Protection and Empowerment team, Livedoid team, Protection team and CBAs



Work Experience

-Minimum 2 years’ experience in psychosocial or mental health projects, preferably in a refugee setting                                                                                       -Have strong coordination, organizational and communication skills, a willingness to show initiative, and be able to solve problems independently;                 -Commitment to team work
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervising staff
-Monitoring and evaluation experience
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:                                                                                                                                                                     -Computer literate (minimum MS Word and Excel and preferably Access)
