Key Population Research and Advocacy Project

Save the Children is the principal recipient for the 3-year regional HIV project that aims at gathering evidence for community led prevention and testing services amongst key populations of sex workers, people who inject drugs (PWID), and transgender people in 7 South and South East Asian countries - Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. In close collaboration and partnership with four regional community networks of people living with HIV, sex workers, PWID, and transgender people, and their national partners, Save the Children will evaluate the role of community in accessing services for key populations, the results of which will be employed to develop effective advocacy strategies to ensure their inclusion in country responses. The main objective of the project is to strengthen community capacity to improve access to quality HIV prevention, testing, treatment, care and support services among key populations in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The project will be managed by the PMU (Project implementation unit) that will be based in Nepal (Kathmandu).

To implement the project, Save the Children is seeking a full time Senior Research and M&E Manager who will be based in Bangkok in proximity to the four key population (KP) networks-implementing partners. 

Under the guidance of Chief of Party for KPRA project, Senior Research and M&E Manager will lead and provide oversight for the operational research, survey, baseline, midline, and end line research activities, and the routine monitoring and evaluation of the KPRA Project. Senior Research and M&E Manager will work closely with the SCI offices in Nepal and Thailand, Save the Children US (SCUS) including technical team of SCUS e.g. M&E, HIV/AIDS & TB Technical Advisors.

Furthermore, s/he will work closely with Sub-Recipients and project partners to ensure high quality quantitative and qualitative research and M&E activities. The position holder will be fully responsible for the oversight of all research and M&E related information, to ensure its availability in a timely, effective and efficient manner in close coordination with other project team members including those who support Advocacy and Communication, Finance and Program.
