Position Summary:

The Finance Officer (FO) will assist the Finance Manager in all facets relating to the financial operations of the Thailand country office.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

General Financial Support

Ensure proper financial management systems and processes that provide accurate, current and complete disclosure of financial transactions.

  • To ensure that all transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) supported by relevant and verifiable source documents
  • Support processing of monthly account reconciliations
  • Review and process vendor invoices
  • Assist in reviewing of sub awardee invoices and back up documentation
  • Assist in processing of monthly payroll for all Pact Thailand staff
  • Assist in processing of disbursements by ensuring allow ability and properly allocated to projects
  • Assist in preparation and file all applicable withholding taxes, social security, and other reports or filings that might be required by Thai’s law
  • Manage office petty cash box
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of GAAP and US Federal regulations or other donor grant policies, rules and regulations
  • Ability to understand and participate in cash flow forecasting and fiscal year budgeting processes
  • Ability to coordinate team deliverables
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and database skills
  • Experience with budgets, projections and budget tracking
  • High degree of initiative and team player
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in financial management and planning, budget management, or other related field (international non-profit environment preferred)
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamic Navigator accounting software is a plus
  • Experience supporting USAID funded programs is preferred
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills
